Buying a SIM card at Marrakech Airport
If you want to stay connected throughout your stay at Marrakesh, then a profitable option is to buy a prepaid SIM card at the airport. This is much cheaper than using roaming costs in Morocco. There is a kiosk at the airport that sells SIM cards from Maroc Telecom. Other networks include INWI and Orange Morocco. Occasionally a network provider will provide a SIM card for free with a small amount of data, then allowing a top-up for extra data. As of 2023, the average price for a 20GB SIM card at the airport is €20. However, be prepared to provide some ID proof.
